When Cyril Richard Combstock and his twin sister Mary Jane were born in 1852 in St. Leonards, Sussex, their father, William, was 28, and their mother, Mary, was 28.
He married Nancy Ashworth and they had four children together. He then married Rosin West and they had three children together.
He was a fisherman/boatman, and was known locally as Dick Shrimp.
He died in 1919 in Newton Abbot, Devon, at the age of 67
