When Alfred Ernest Wright was born in 1874 in St Pancras, Middlesex, his father, Samuel, was 27 and his mother, Sarah, was 26.
He married Emma Forde in 1897 in Hackney, Middlesex. and together they had seven children in 10 years.
He served as a Lance Sergeant in the London Regiment in WW1 and was invalided out in 1918.
After the death of his father, he ran the family plastering business, Samuel Wright & Co in Hackney. He was also a Free Mason and a member of the local Conservative Party.
He died on 4 April 1936 in Middlesex at the age of 62.
