When Ethel Mary Addicott was born in 1892 in Powderham, Devon, her father, Thomas, was 57, and her mother, Amelia, was 39.
She had two daughters with Ernest Currey between 1911 and 1913, Amelia Grace and Mary Ellen. They lived in Dawlish.
She died as a young mother on Christmas Day 1923 in Dawlish, Devon, at the age of 31 - a few days before, she fell off a stool while putting up Christmas decorations, hit her head and died of a brain haemorrage.
