Margaret Stanley (Oakden)

When Margaret Stanley was born in 1895 in Tutbury, Staffordshire, her father, Edward, was 37, and her mother, Ada, was 26. She had four brothers.

She was a teacher at Tutbury school. 

She married William Spooner Oakden in 1921. They had two children during their marriage. 

She was President of Tutbury Mothers Union and Vice President of the WI. She ran the local Womens Voluntary Service during WWII.  

She died in 1955 aged 60.
