Arthur Harrison


Arthur Harrison JP was born on Christmas Day in 1897 in Manchester, England, in Mrs MacAlpine's Home for Unmarried Mothers of previous good character! He was the child of Samuel and Rose. 

He served in the Army in France in WW1 and as an ARP Warden in Stafford in WWII. 

He was sales director at Dormans Diesel in Stafford where he travelled extensively during the 1950's/60's, including a coast to coast trip of Canada on a train. 

He was also a magistrate in Stafford and a Methodist lay preacher, spending time in Africa as a missionary. 

He had one daughter, Margaret, with Annie Taylor on April 11, 1925. 

He died in 1975 at the age of 78, after falling down the stairs at home.
