When Michael Philip Oakden was born on 27 January 1928 in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, his father, Edward, was 27 and his mother, Marjorie, was 25.
He married Maureen Lilian McLoughlin in July 1957 in Lichfield, Staffordshire.
He died in 2015 in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, at the age of 87.
